Amanda Joly is an Artist based in West Dorset. She has a BA(Hons) in Fine Art from Plymouth University. Her interest in the Arts have been present throughout her life and she continues to be self-motivated in both a practical and research capacity.
Main topics of interest are human nature, identity and sense of place. Her work can be emotive and spontaneous or measured and thoughtful but the ultimate intention is to find that common thread between image and viewer. Some images are uneasy and abstract, some meditative, many metaphorical but all originate from experiences, memories and the complexities of being alive.
Works are in various mediums but primarily oil.
